BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
HOW LONG DOES A SHIRT OR TROUSERS TAKE TO MAKE?
Shirts take approximately 3 days to produce depending on the volume ordered. (This can change depending on various factors) This means 2 full days after recording your measurements and choosing all of your options.
We generally make one shirt first and test the fit the following day. Any alterations are recorded, the pattern is then altered and used to make any remaining shirts. This is not a guaranteed timing but a general example.
If you do not have this amount of time in Bangkok we can ship the shirts to you but we do prefer at least one fitting. The same time frame and system will be used for trousers.
Please note that if you are buying shirts without a suit, the minimum order is 3 shirts. There is no minimum order for trousers. For more information on fittings please visit our How It Works page.
HOW LONG DOES A JACKET TAKE TO MAKE?
In order to ensure a perfect fit we require 4 full working days with 2 or 3 fittings. This means 3 to 4 full days after recording your measurements and choosing all of your options. We strive to achieve a perfect fit for all of our clients. If you don’t have 4 days in Bangkok, we can post the garments to you if they are not completed when you leave. The absolute minimum requirement is 3 days; 1 day to choose your fabric and custom choices with 2 more days for fittings. We do not recommend this though, as there is no guarantee that the garment will have a perfect fit.
WILL MY SCHEDULE ALLOW ME TO GET A SUIT MADE?
Many of our clients travel around Thailand using Bangkok as a base. We will make appointments that fit around your schedule. You will require a total of 4 full working days in Bangkok. An ideal schedule would look like this: You would come in on Monday and choose your fabrics, your options, and we would take your measurements. Then we need about 24 hours to work on the garments and get them ready for a first fitting. The first fitting would be the next night, Tuesday evening. We would then need another 24 hours to work on the garments again. Your second fitting would be Wednesday evening. Ideally, we would do 1 more fitting on Thursday, as this is the best option to ensure a great fit. Otherwise, if you did not have any more time, we could work on the garments and ship them to you once completed.
DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER REQUIREMENT?
Yes, we ask that clients order a minimum of 3 shirts if no suit or pants are purchased. If a suit is purchased or pants or a waistcoat then there is no shirt minimum.
PRODUCTS
DO YOU MAKE DRESSES?
No. We are a men's tailor and we do not tailor for ladies.
DO YOU OFFER FULL CANVASED JACKETS?
No, our standard construction is a half canvas jacket, where the lapels, collar and half chest are canvassed with a quality canvassing. We have found this to be the best blend of both quality and cost effectiveness. Fully canvassed jackets are very labour intensive and cannot be rushed. They take approximately 4 weeks to complete and the client needs to be available the whole time for fittings. Unfortunately this does not fit with the schedules of the vast majority of our clients.
OUR FITTING PROCESS
HOW LONG DOES A FITTING TAKE?
Your initial visit is what will take the longest. Depending on how decisive you are with choosing fabrics, styles and options it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. An average initial visit takes about 45 minutes.
Fittings usually take much less time as it is just yourself and your tailor discussing the fit of the garment and making any alterations. This usually takes about 20 minutes.
DO YOU KEEP MY MEASUREMENTS?
After your final fitting we take final sizes from your garments and store them, along with your paper pattern, for any future orders. So long as your sizes don’t change you are free to order anything and we will post the garments to you.
PAYMENT
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
We are one of the few tailors in Bangkok to have advertised fixed prices. For more information please visit our Prices page.
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?
We are one of the only tailors in Bangkok to offer fixed prices and as a result we are unable to provide discounts other then if you pay in cash as then we can pass on our bank saving fees to you. . Our customers can rest assured that when they come in they will be getting the same price as everyone else without having to haggle for a fair deal. However if you buy 10 shirts, we do offer 1 complimentary.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU USE?
In store we only accept both cash and credit card. We offer a significant discount if you pay in cash and our price list reflects our discounted cash prices. We accept Thai Baht, Euros, GBP, US, Canadian, Singaporean or Australian dollars. Unfortunately we cannot accept American Express.
We also require a non-refundable 100% deposit in order to begin making your garment.
The nature of our bespoke business is such that each garment is cut specifically for each client and cannot be reused for anything else.
For online orders we accept PayPal.

GARMENT CARE GUIDE
SHIRTS
Our fabrics are pre-shrunk, however cotton garments may shrink up to 3%. For best practice, we recommend:
- Remove collar stays, button up, and wash inside out
- Cold wash (30°C)
- Hang dry
– Do not tumble dry
- For easier ironing, iron while damp
JACKETS
Jackets made from natural materials help the body ventilate and don’t need cleaning very often. To extend the life of your jacket:
- Dry clean only
– Clean no more than four times per year
- If creased, press professionally, do not steam
- Spot clean with water and mild detergent
- The natural fibers of your suit need time to rest
– Avoid wearing more than two or three times per week
- After wearing, hang up in a ventilated space to ensure freshness and reduce wrinkling
WOOL TROUSERS
Wool is antimicrobial and naturally stays fresh. We recommend:
- Dry clean only
– Clean once per month if worn frequently
- After wearing, hang up in a ventilated space to ensure freshness and reduce wrinkling
- For your favourite suits, we recommend buying a second pair of trousers, as they typically get more wear than jackets
COTTON & LINEN TROUSERS
Wash with care to avoid shrinkage and wear. We recommend:
- Cold wash (30°C)
- Hang dry
– Do not tumble dry
- When ironing, use a thin cloth between the iron and garment
ALTERATIONS AND ISSUES
CAN I CHANGE MY OPTIONS?
Once the fabric has been cut the options cannot be changed. Each item of clothing is cut in a way that it cannot be changed. For example: if pockets are cut sloped they cannot be changed to straight without recutting the fabric.
CAN MY CLOTHING BE ALTERED?
We understand that sometimes clients will take their clothing home and then change their minds about fit, or specific details. Obviously we cannot foresee this for you. Before you leave our shop you will be asked to acknowledge and sign off that we have done as promised and delivered what you have requested.
However, if this does happen you can bring your clothing back to us (or send it) and we will do our best to rectify whatever you’d like changed. However, there may be costs associated with this (such as you shipping it back to us and us having to ship it back to you, fabrics needing to be recut and so on.) Every case is different and we will be reasonable in our approach to finding solutions to any issues that arise. For example if you want your waistband taken in or your trousers hemmed, there will be no charge, but if you want your jacket pockets changed from slanted to straight, this involves recutting both front sections of your jacket and will be charged according to the prices in the link below.
After 30 days all alterations will be charged according to the prices in the link below. Shipping charges will also be the responsibility of the client. Please do not send any garments back to us without contacting us first.
