Adhere 13th Blues Bar

Our favorite bar in Bangkok – and possibly the world – is Adhere 13th Blues Bar. This tiny bar has the most wonderful atmosphere, good selection of well-priced drinks and most of all fantastic music. Live blues and jazz plays every night by local bands with great talent. The style varies and the guest artists are frequent, but the retro ambiance and excited audiences are constant.
The bands start at 8 o’clock most nights, with the main gig beginning at 10. Go alone and meet like-minded admirers or with a group of friends and share a bottle of whiskey. The bar is just a stone’s throw away from the madness that is Khao San Road, yet the relaxed surroundings of the old town couldn’t more different.
Walking from Khao San Road, you find it on your left just after the bridge. In a taxi, ask for Samsen Soi 1, walk towards the bridge and it will be on your right. On the other side of the street there’s a nice selection of street food.
TOT Recommends:
Get there early if you want a seat.
There’s a small barbecue outside if you fancy a nibble.
If you opt for a bottle, they’ll keep it behind the bar for you until your next visit.
