some areas are packed with them and you can't walk without being harassed every couple of minutes by someone offering cheap and quickly done suits/shirts/dresses. If that is what you are looking for that do not worry, you'll have plenty of choice.
But if it is quality, service, beautiful fabrics you want, then there's only one place to go : Tailor on Ten.
When we arrived in Bangkok, Chéri wanted to treat himself and get nice shirts done. Our quick research on the net led us to this tailor and we quickly took an appointment.
The welcome in the adorable little house at the end of sukhumvit soi 8 is extremely thoughtful and pleasant, a galaxy away from the usual harassment.
A cosy, calm yet friendly ambiance. And that thanks to the the creators Alex and Ben who are always so smiling and service minded.
The first appointment serves as making the specs of the shirts. You start by choosing the fabrics and the choice is huge ! Then comes the details, bit by bit you choose whatever will create the shirt will the help and advices of the tailor. There are so many of them ! Then comes the measurement.
During the second appointment, you make the first fitting and adjustement are made if necessary.
And if everything is ok, you'll get your shirts on the third appointment.
