Stefan - Sweden
Posted: Nov 29 2015
Stefan is a veteran of Tailor On Ten, and through his visits he has collected shirts, suits and blazers. This time he came in for a tweed blazer, a material that we love - with a certain twinge of jealousy since we never get to wear it in the scorching Bangkokian heat.
Stefan, you have been in Bangkok for over two years, so we assume you like the city?
Yes! The first time I came over here was 10 years ago, and I did a lot of traveling around Southeast Asia since. Two years ago, when I moved over here, it was my first time living abroad, even if I knew the region quite well.
What line of work are you in?
I work for Volvo, their trucks division, and I am usually sent abroad to set up operations and new businesses overseas. But I will be moving back to Sweden soon.
What will you miss about Bangkok?
I love the food, how different it is compared from Gothenburg (the city I am from) and the accessibility to such a wide range of things all concentrated in one place. But the dominant trait of the city I like the most is the organised chaos that seems to dictate the pace of life. I will also miss Tailor On Ten of course...
Are you looking forward to go back to Sweden?
Yes and no. I am happy to go back to see friends and family, my own network of people and my city, but soon it will be winter, and winters in Gothenburg are not much fun.
Luckily you have a great tweed blazer to take you through winter, are you happy with it?
I love it, and, even if it is not the best match for Thai weather, I will wear it a lot once I get back to Sweden.
What do you do with your spare time?
I love to travel, snowboard and mountain bike.
What has been your favorite destination to travel to in the past?
I had some very good times during a skiing holiday in Japan.
Thank you for your time Stefan, we will miss you here at Tailor On Ten (though we expect some online orders from you soon)!
Stefan is wearing a wool/cashmere blazer by Holland & Sherry cut by our fine tailors. This masterfully woven fabric is soft as a dream and sure to keep you warm. The pattern is striking, but with the muted natural tones of brown and beige, still easy to wear. Underneath, Stefan switches between two classics, blue oxford button down and blue luxury cotton twill. Classic with character… We approve!
