In the TOT Weddings series, we get to join some of our dear clients on the most important day of their lives. These couples celebrate their love, and the groom has the pleasure of spending the day in a beautiful Tailor On Ten suit.

In this inaugural post, we get a glimpse of Anneke and Jeroen's wedding and the thoughts behind it. We're also treated to a trailer of their rather quirky, Hollywood-style wedding movie.

Where are you from and what do you do? 
We live in Vaassen, that’s the eastern part of Holland. Anneke is a obstetrics nurse and a lactation consultant and I have my own IT consultancy company. 

We're big fans of Holland. Do you wear clogs a lot? 
Haha, I never wear (wooden) clogs at all! But I’ll start to wear it under my suit starting today, try to create a new suit fashion :) 

Any advice for travelers to your home town? 
Of course travelers need to see and experience Amsterdam City including De Zaanse Schans, but a complete different city as Groningen in the north or the eastern part; home to the largest national park of the Netherlands, Hoge Veluwe National Park, are worth a visit. As well as the beautiful Hanzesteden, seven medieval cities along the Ijssel River with a traditional historic centre, such as Zutphen, Zwolle, Deventer etc. 

Where did you and your beautiful bride meet? What’s the story?
We met online actually and it turned out we were living just 20km from each other. And after the first date, we both knew this was the beginning of our story together!

What were your thoughts behind the wedding movie?
We wanted to have a different wedding movie instead of a standard one, more like a romantic and cinematic style covering the whole day including the ceremony and wedding party. At the most important day of our life, we didn’t want to have any movie scripts of course, so the whole movie is spontaneous created.

What was your inspiration for your wedding suit?
I wanted to have a suit which has of course the quality and great tailored fit of the suits I already had ordered before, but also had a celebratory style. I was very confident of the end result!

Who spent the most time selecting wedding outfit, you or the bride? (Both ended up looking great!)
For sure that will be the bride! :)

It's important to care for your suit. Did it end up on a hanger or on the floor at the end of the wedding day?
As I fully agree to take care of suits in general, my wedding suit didn’t end on the floor after our wedding day. It was placed perfectly on a hanger, next to my other Tailor on Ten suits :)

That well kept - and, may we say, very handsome looking - suit is a wool/mohair from Giovanni Tonella whose marine color captures the light amazingly. Its natural crease resistance keeps you looking great all day and so does the waistcoat, which is both extremely elegant and hides any potential creases in the off-white Luxury shirt.
