TOT Weddings: Pear and Paul
Posted: Nov 29 2018
Recently married and long time clients of ours, Pear and Paul sat down with us to talk about weddings, life in Bangkok and us of course!
Congratulations on your wedding! Would you mind telling us a little bit about where you guys are from and where you met?
Paul: I moved to Bangkok from New York City.
Pear: I'm originally from Bangkok.
Paul: We were lucky enough to meet through mutual friends here in Bangkok. One of my friends went to university with Pear.
You live in Bangkok, what do you do here?
Paul: I work as a managing director at a law firm in Bangkok responsible for our practice groups in Koh Samui and Phuket.
Pear: I'm a banker.
Your wedding photos are stunning! Both of you look fantastic, we love your dress! (that we love your suit goes without saying of course!) Where were you married? Was it a big event?
Pear: It wasn't a huge wedding.
Paul: *laughing* It was enormous! We had more than three hundred people at the Sheraton Grande very close to TOT. It was really an amazing day.
Was a crazy amount of planning involved as is usual with weddings or were you both pretty relaxed?
Pear: We were planning for months and you try to cover everything to make sure that its perfect.
Paul: We got pretty close to perfect but there was a lot of excitement and we were a bit stressed at times but really tried to enjoy ourselves.
Pear: Paul did get stressed a bit with his bow tie but we were able to get it together in time for the photo shoots.
Obviously you both looked amazing, were you happy with your suit and dress and I'm guessing you got a lot of compliments?
Paul: Thank you so much. I really loved my suit, it fit great even when we were dancing. We got tons of compliments and I really felt great knowing that I had a well fitted suit that was comfortable for the whole reception.
Do you wear a suit every day here in Bangkok or just pants and a shirt?
Paul: Since I work for a law firm I have to wear a suit everyday and especially when I have client meetings as appearance is very important.
Paul, you've been a regular client of ours for a few years. Could you tell us a little bit about how you heard about us, your experience working with us.
Paul: When I first moved to Bangkok I had a few misses on tailored suits and heard about Tailor on Ten through some of the business networking events that I attended. It took me a while before I made an appointment but couldn't be happier with my suits. Since my first visit I've been a loyal customer. My shirts and suits always fit and look great and I've had a really good experience with the Tailor on Ten team.
Of course we always like a little bit of praise! What is it that you think sets Tailor On Ten apart from the others?
Paul: I think for me it is the attention to detail and helping me understand what I'm buying before my order is finished. My first suit in Bangkok (I won't say from where) resulted in a suit designed for a 1970's American mobster and looked ridiculous at work. I don't necessarily know what I'm looking for in terms of suit design and the Tailor on Ten team helped me understand the best design for a work suit, best colors for my line of business, and made sure that all of my orders fit me well.
We love getting personal recommendations on things to do, places to eat and experiences to have here in Bangkok. Do you guys have any little gems to share?
Pear: We always love to eat local and have our favorite Kao Kha Moo place near the fabric market near the old siam plaza.
Paul: That is one my favorite places. We're also big fans of Som Tam J-So between Soi Convent and Soi Pipat down in Silom and Polo Fried Chicken on Soi Polo just off wireless road.
Thanks guys so much for this and once again congratulations!
